TLILIC2015B Licence to drive a medium rigid vehicle
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION
On completion of your training and assessment you will be able to drive any rigid vehicle including truck or bus:
- Two axle rigid truck, not being a prime mover or above 8 tonnes GVM
- Two axle bus above 8 tonnes
ELIGIBILITY
- You must be at least 19 years old
- You must have held an Australian photo drivers licence for at least 12 months
- No previous heavy vehicle driving experience necessary
TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT
This licence will allow you to drive a medium rigid vehicle including trucks and buses used in the transport industry. You will learn:
- Road Law
- Cabin checks
- Pre-departure safety inspections
- Braking system control
- Starting and stopping sequence
- Kerbside stop
- Park start
- U-Turn (3 point turn)
- Reverse park
- Vehicle manoeuvring
- Monitor vehicle performance
Assessment is a one-on-one road test with an approved RTA Assessor.
EQUIPMENT
We provide registered medium rigid vehicles for your training, loaded to at least 75% of legal weight (except for passenger vehicles).
The load must be restrained in accordance with load restraint guide.
WHAT TO BRING
- Current NSW photo licence or truck licence
- Log Book
- Wear closed-in shoes
WE TRAIN 7 DAYS A WEEK
