TLILIC2014B Licence to drive a light rigid vehicle

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION

On completion of your training and assessment you will be able to drive any rigid vehicle including:

A rigid truck above 4.5 tonnes GVM but less than or equal to 8 tonnes GVM
A rigid bus with less than or equal to 8 tonnes GVM or seats more than 12 adults including the driver

ELIGIBILITY

You must be at least 19 years old
You must have held an Australian photo drivers licence for at least 12 months
No previous heavy vehicle driving experience necessary

TRAINING AND ASSESSMENT

This licence will allow you to drive a light rigid vehicle including trucks and buses used for aged care homes, schools, clubs and sporting organisations. You will learn:

Road Law
Cabin checks
Pre-driving safety inspections
Starting and stopping sequence
Turning and handling
Reversing and manoeuvring
Vehicle positioning
Required knowledge

Assessment is a one-on-one road test with an approved RTA Assessor.

EQUIPMENT

We provide registered light rigid vehicles for your training, loaded to at least 75% of legal weight (except for passenger vehicles).

The load must be restrained in accordance with load restraint guide.

Current NSW photo licence or truck licence

Wear closed-in shoes
